When will Google learn?
Google has called time on US sales of its flagship Nexus One device, two months after pulling the plug on direct sales through its website.

Now, do you think that nobody wanted to buy the phone? No. Do you think they were turned off of its features? No. As with all Google products. People had questions and there was nobody there to answer them. I had looked into getting one of these phones when they first came out. TMobile, my carrier, claimed that having not upgraded my phone in four years was eligible for the phone at no cost. The Google website begged to differ claiming my account was inactive with TMobile and I would have to start a new account.
Could I reach someone on the phone to "resolve" the issue? No. Googles idea of support forums were and are still, a joke. In one week there were close to 3000 topics and some 20k messages with people having to post question as to why they cannot activate their phone, reception issues, billing issues - all within a public forum.
Had Google simply offered an 800# to call this phone would still be relevant, operational and being sold to this day.
For all of its intelligence, Google is quite possibly one of the dumbest "salesmen" on the Internet.
